Jeffrey A. Raday, P.E., President of McShane Construction Company, is pleased to announce that Ed Pitula, LEED AP, has been selected to serve as Director of Business Development.
Pitula’s objective is to uncover and develop opportunities for new construction assignments across a wide spectrum of market segments including the industrial, office, health and wellness, and institutional markets. He will office in McShane Construction’s corporate headquarters in Rosemont, Illinois, and advance business development efforts on a local, regional and national accounts basis.
Since joining McShane Construction Company in 1997, Pitula has distinguished himself as a pivotal team member with a track record of successful construction assignments for numerous clients including E.A. Sween Company, FedEx, Fitness Formula, Ltd., Aon Hewitt, Valparaiso University and the University of Notre Dame.
In 2002, Pitula was selected to spearhead the establishment of McShane Construction’s Western regional office in Irvine, California. Several of his notable achievements include an 820,000 square foot build-to-suit for W.W. Grainger, Inc. in Patterson, California; an 89,847 square foot freight service center for FedEx in Kettleman City, California; the 704,115 square foot Redlands Business Center industrial development and the launch of the new 1,013,460 square foot Redlands Logistics Center in Redlands, California. Through his efforts and dedication, the Irvine office has enjoyed substantial growth and expansion represented by a sizable portfolio of projects both currently underway or completed within the region.
“Ed’s experience and broad expertise in serving clients in a number of market sectors will provide construction insights and advantages to corporate end-users, institutional clients and real estate developers as each evaluates opportunities for new construction, expansions or retrofits. I am confident that he will be successful in advancing McShane’s current project portfolio throughout the Chicago market, the Midwest Region and on a national basis,” remarked Raday.
Pitula earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Marquette University and is a LEED Accredited Professional as recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). He is a member of the Chicago Chapter of NAIOP (Commercial Real Estate Development Association) and previously served on the board of the Building Block Foundation Fund, an organization dedicated to helping children of abuse, neglect or abandonment in Orange County, California.
