Jeffrey A. Raday, P.E., President of McShane Construction Company, is pleased to announce that Mathew R. Dougherty, P.E., has been promoted from Vice President to Executive Vice President and Regional Manager of the firm’s Rosemont, Illinois headquarters.
A 14-year veteran of McShane Construction, Dougherty has demonstrated his skillful construction management strengths through the successful completion of numerous high-profile construction projects for the firm. His ability to enhance relationships with both current and new clients and serve as a role model for excellence in project management propelled his rapid rise to this executive level within the McShane organization.
As Executive Vice President and Regional Manager, Dougherty will be responsible for the management of McShane Construction’s project management personnel and support teams, the development and expansion of new business opportunities, and the strategic planning and execution of McShane’s growth within the Midwest Region. Dougherty will report directly to Raday providing support and implementation of the President’s overall strategy and vision that furthers McShane’s growing portfolio of project accomplishments.
Since joining McShane in June 2000, Dougherty’s professional experiences include the successful completion of numerous construction assignments, from affordable and supportive housing to luxury apartment, hotels and mixed-use complexes. He has been pivotal in McShane’s delivery of multiple assignments for many highly-respected clients including Aramark, Atlantic Realty Partners, Casto Lifestyle Properties, Essex Communities, Lennar Corporation, M & R Development and Trammell Crow Company, among others.

Dougherty earned a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Marquette University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois and resides in Elmhurst, Illinois.
