December 15, 2015

Scott J. Hoppa, Senior Vice President - Southeast Region of McShane Construction Company, is pleased to announce that the firm has completed the comprehensive construction services for Oasis at Scholar’s Landing, a new affordable and assisted living residence for seniors. The 60-unit, three- and four-story complex is located on a 2.1-acre site at the intersection of John Hope Drive and Parsons Street in Atlanta, Georgia. McShane Construction formed a joint venture with IBG Construction Services, LLC to complete the assignment on behalf of developer, The Integral Group LLC.

Oasis at Scholar’s Landing consists of 65,193 square feet of fully-featured assisted senior living space.  The property was carefully designed to accommodate the well-being of residents through the incorporation of numerous tenant amenities and services.  Along with 60 one-bedroom units, the complex incorporates a fitness center, hair salon, commercial kitchen and dining room, two activity rooms and a covered patio for outdoor entertainment.

The residence also features an artfully clad exterior utilizing a blend of brick and HardiePanel elements, parking for 30 vehicles and generously landscaped grounds.   Oasis at Scholar’s Landing was constructed to meet EarthCraft Certification through the use of numerous sustainable design and construction features such as low VOC materials and Energy Star appliances.  The project was partially funded by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs’ Low Income Housing Tax Credit program and the Atlanta Housing Authority.

As part of the assignment, McShane Construction and IBG Construction completed sitework and public improvements to the portion of John Hope Drive where the property is located that included additional landscaping, exterior lighting and the installation of sidewalks.

“McShane Construction, in partnership with IBG Construction Services, is pleased to deliver this high-quality and affordable residence for seniors,” remarked Hoppa.  “Our years of experience in serving the senior living and multi-family markets provided an unparalleled foundation for our team to complete this project aligning with the goals of The Integral Group and benefiting residents now and in the future.”

Kitchen & Associates provided the architectural services for this multi-family assignment.
