With over 30,000 member firms, AGC of America is the leading association for the U.S. construction industry. It provides a full range of services satisfying the needs and concerns of its members, strives to improve the quality and safety of construction, and works to protect the public interest.

The Chicago Chapter of the AGC was established in 1906 and boasts a long-standing legacy of industry leadership within this ever-changing metropolitan area. Throughout the years, the Builders Association has earned a reputation as a leading provider of services for the area’s general contracting firms including the establishment and promotion of member support programs in governmental advocacy, labor relations, safety education, project management education and construction technology.

Raday’s recent election as Chairman follows his five-year term as a member of the Builders Association’s Board of Directors. Since 2009, Raday has helped further the Builders Association’s robust agenda of construction industry support.

“Since 1906, the Association’s mission is to serve the interests of Chicago area construction industry firms. In 2014, we will focus on updating the Association’s Strategic Plan and continue to solidify our role as the leading industry association for the Chicago area’s construction firms,” stated Raday. “Our goal is to assure both general contractors and specialty contractors throughout Chicago that their voices will be heard and interests served by virtue of membership in the Builders Association.”

As Chairman, Raday will provide leadership in concert with Executive Director, Dan McLaughlin, and a high-profile Board of Directors comprised of Immediate Past Chairman Jimmy Akintonde of Ujamaa Construction, Inc., Vice-Chairman Ken Egidi of Pepper Construction Company, Steve Lenz of The George Sollitt Construction Company, Michael Mozal of Joseph J. Duffy Co., David Trolian of Clark Construction Group – Chicago, Mark Bernhard of Bernhard Woodwork, Ltd. and Ray Wojkovich of Bulley & Andrews.

Raday has directed McShane Construction’s focus within the multi-family, industrial, office and mixed-use sectors on a national basis and oversees the firm’s headquarters in Rosemont, Illinois and its regional offices in Auburn, Alabama, Phoenix, Arizona and Irvine, California.

Raday is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois.
