Joint venture partners, Brinshore Development and Michaels Development Company, have selected the McShane to complete Clybourn 1200 – an 84-unit mixed-use, mixed-income development located within the Old Town neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois.
McShane Construction will complete the seven-story residence utilizing precast concrete finished with a blend of textures and colors adding architectural interest to the prominent structure. Modern aluminum windows with varying mullion designs and steel and glass canopies at the retail and residential entrances will greater emphasize the contemporary aesthetic.
Clybourn 1200 will consist of a one-story, 25,295 square foot indoor parking garage located on the second floor topped with five residential floors incorporating mixed-income apartments. The ground-level will boast 17,000 square feet of retail space. The complex offers a variety of unit configurations including studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans. Each apartment will be outfitted with stylish and modern finishes together with in-unit washers and dryers and an in-floor radiant heat system.
Clybourn 1200 was designed to meet LEED Certification and incorporates various sustainable components including a solar panel water heater system, low VOC products, permeable pavers and ENERGY STAR lighting and appliances.
